Overview: During my recent visit to Pattaya from May 20th to June 8th, 2009, I had the chance to explore Roxy A Go Go for the first time. This lively go-go bar is located right next to Insomnia on Walking Street, making it a convenient spot for those enjoying the vibrant nightlife of Pattaya.
Location and Ambiance: Roxy A Go Go is situated on Walking Street, just adjacent to the popular Insomnia nightclub. Its prime location ensures it stands out among the many nightlife options available. The bar's exterior is well-marked, making it easy to find even amidst the bustling crowds.
Pricing Information: The pricing at Roxy during my visit was:
  • Standard Service (SS) Coke: 95 Baht
  • Beer: 120 Baht
  • Lady Drinks (LD): 100 Baht
  • Bar Fine: 600 Baht
These rates are fairly typical for the area, offering a good balance of cost and entertainment. It's advisable to verify current prices as they can change.
Experience and Entertainment: One of the highlights of Roxy was the impressive lineup of girls and their performances. The bar provided a pleasant surprise with its attractive staff and engaging entertainment. On one occasion, we were fortunate enough to enjoy the company of three ladies simultaneously, which significantly enhanced the evening's enjoyment. The performers were lively and kept the atmosphere upbeat.
Management and Atmosphere: An interesting aspect of Roxy is its management. The bar is now run by a manager previously known from Carousel A Go Go, who seems to be quite noticeable. His behavior often reaches near delirium by 9 p.m., adding an unpredictable and entertaining element to the bar's environment. While this might add a unique flair, it can also be a point of concern for some patrons.
Comparisons and Conclusion: Roxy A Go Go holds its own among other go-go bars on Walking Street, such as Airport, Diamond, and Happy. The combination of its attractive girls, competitive pricing, and lively atmosphere make it a worthy stop. Despite the quirks of its management, Roxy offers a memorable experience and is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy a vibrant night out in Pattaya.

Can Western Europeans still gain entry to this place? I recall that the last time I visited the shops in this building, the staff at the door didn’t exactly greet me with a warm “Welcome inside, Sir!” ? It seemed like there were some barriers or a lack of enthusiasm towards foreign guests. If anyone has recent experience or updated information about the current entry policies, I’d appreciate hearing about it. Understanding the current situation could help in planning a visit and ensuring a smoother experience.

I've visited Roxy a few times, but I’m not particularly impressed with it. I used to enjoy the shows there more, but since they remodeled the venue and stopped using the large stage, the experience has become quite average. The changes have noticeably impacted the quality of the performances.

Additionally, the girls at Roxy seem to follow their own schedules rather than maintaining consistent service. For instance, I once observed that one of the performers simply decided to call it a night at 2:30 a.m., which was a bit disappointing.

In my opinion, Roxy doesn’t quite measure up to places like Airport Club or What’s Up. Both of those venues offer a superior experience with better shows and more reliable service. If you’re looking for a more enjoyable and engaging night out, Airport Club and What’s Up are definitely the better choices.

I’ve been to Roxy several times recently and had a notable experience with a girl I saw there with friends, known as number 129. She had an amazing figure, and I was quite impressed, but unfortunately, I didn’t manage to take her with me initially. Over the next few days, I was unlucky—she was always booked when I tried again, which isn’t surprising given her appeal.

One day, however, I got there early enough and was fortunate to take her with me right away. Regrettably, my experience with her was less than ideal. She was quite bitchy at the hotel, which was disappointing. I found that other girls, whether from beer bars or freelancers, provided a much better experience.

Regarding the manager you mentioned, are you referring to the Mamasaan? In my experience, it was actually a ladyboy managing things. She had everything well organized, was very friendly, and always up for a chat and a joke, especially if you were there solo and not engaged in a long-term arrangement.

Has anyone else had a different or better experience with number 129? I’d be interested to hear about it.

In December 2009, my visit to Roxy left much to be desired. The overall experience was quite boring, lacking the excitement and engagement I had hoped for. Given the lackluster atmosphere and uninspiring performances, I’d rate the risk of revisiting Roxy during my upcoming three-week vacation as zero. It’s unlikely that the venue will offer anything different or more appealing on my next visit. I’m looking forward to exploring other options and making the most of my time elsewhere.
