I’m starting a new thread for Gold A-Go-Go to ensure it’s not misplaced in the old Amethyst thread.
Gold A-Go-Go is set to reopen next Friday, November 24, 2017, in the LK Metro area. This venue previously operated under the name Amethyst but struggled to maintain a steady business. Subsequently, Gold briefly took over but also faced challenges. After a period of closure, marked by a "For Rent/Sale" sign, the space is now ready for a fresh start.
The venue’s latest development involves a new operator who has negotiated an agreement to manage Gold independently. Although the establishment has been shut for a while, the interior remains in good condition without significant wear and tear, as no major remodeling has been done.
New staff will be brought in, which is expected given the prolonged closure. The reopening promises a new beginning for Gold A-Go-Go, and I'll provide an update once it officially opens its doors. Stay tuned for more information on what to expect from this revamped venue.

Quick update
@Bakwahn , yes, only one of the owners is continuing.

It probably took half a year until they finally came to an agreement.

If you had a nice girl, she's no longer there.
All the girls, Mamasan and staff are new now.

Yesterday and today it was a kind of trial run.
So it's already open from 8 p.m.

and tomorrow on November 24th there will be a big official opening.

Thank you, Lion Tom, for the information.
It is uncertain whether Graham Gold will be able to get his Gogo up and running.
A lot depends on the girls he has.
Back in March 2017, they were great. Some were very pretty.

Gold a Gogo was closed for about 6 months.
Of course, the girls are all gone now.
Starting up again will not be easy for good old Graham.
You always have to remember: a Gogo is also a business. The guy has invested a lot of money in the Gogo. He bears the entrepreneurial risk.
Are the visitor numbers enough? Are the sales good?
Is there enough money coming in to pay the interest and repayments on the loans to the bank? Etc. etc.

I was there for a short time.

What has changed is that the DJ now has his place under the stairs.

And the service staff were all boys.

yes, that's right, the service staff were a bit overwhelmed.

But you also have to remember that, as is usual in Thailand, the guys probably have no training in this area and are all just doing this job.

So it would be a miracle if they managed it on the first evening without any problems.
You'd be lucky if they understood a bit of English.

I also don't understand why the operator is pursuing the idea of only employing male service staff.

I think that's a bad idea.
And we'll see if it stays that way.
