Hello, as a newcomer to Pattaya, I have a few questions before my first visit. Specifically, how can I avoid accidentally meeting a ladyboy? I’ve heard they can look very similar to women, and after a few drinks, I just want to avoid any awkward surprises when I get back to my hotel.
Beyond the commonly mentioned tip of checking for unusually large feet, are there other reliable indicators? Here are a few additional pointers to consider:

1. Voice: Pay attention to the voice. Ladyboys often have a deeper voice, though some might speak in a higher pitch to mimic a female voice.
   
2. Adam’s Apple: While some ladyboys undergo surgery to reduce the appearance of their Adam’s Apple, it can still be a noticeable feature.
   
3. Height and Build: Ladyboys can sometimes be taller and have a more muscular build compared to the average Thai woman.
   
4. Facial Features: Look for more angular features, such as a prominent jawline or broader forehead, which can be less common in Thai women.
   
5. Hands: Larger hands with longer fingers can be another clue, as well as more pronounced knuckles.
   
6. Ask Directly: If you’re unsure, politely ask. In many cases, they will be honest about it.
