Totally get where you’re coming from. Loneliness can hit like a ton of bricks, especially after so much time without meaningful human contact. I think a lot of us got so used to being "busy" pre-pandemic that we didn’t realize how dependent we were on those daily interactions to keep us sane.
I’ve done phone chats a couple of times, and it’s always an interesting experience. Sometimes you get deep and talk about life goals or struggles; other times, it’s just lighthearted and fun, like a much-needed escape from reality. What really struck me was how willing people were to share parts of themselves when they knew it wasn’t forever. There’s something freeing about connecting with someone who’s just there for the conversation, no strings attached.

There are plenty of people who are also looking for connection but might be hesitant because they’ve had bad experiences.
