Just came back from my first trip to Bangkok, and I have to say, it completely exceeded my expectations. I had a few standout moments that I’ll never forget!
Grand Palace & Wat Pho – Like many, my first stop was the Grand Palace. Walking through those gates felt like stepping back in time. The sheer size and opulence of the place are insane! Wat Pho, right next door, had this massive Reclining Buddha that is even more impressive in person. Definitely worth a visit.
Chao Phraya River Cruise – If you’re in Bangkok, you HAVE to take a boat ride on the Chao Phraya. The views of the city skyline as the sun sets are just stunning, and I even caught a glimpse of the Temple of Dawn lit up across the river. They also serve dinner cruises, which is a perfect way to enjoy some Thai food while soaking in the views.
Street Food Adventures – The food in Bangkok is absolutely next level! I did a tuk-tuk food tour around Yaowarat (Chinatown), and it was hands-down one of the best things I did. We ate our way through hidden street food stalls – everything from fried chicken to mango sticky rice.
Bangkok is chaotic but in the best way. There’s so much to see and do, and every day felt like an adventure. Highly recommend it!
