If you're not sure where to start, definitely try Walking Street. It’s the place most people end up at, and for good reason. It’s packed with all kinds of bars and clubs, plus the neon lights and street performers give it a unique atmosphere. Personally, I like Penny’s Bar or The Black Pearl, which aren’t as touristy but still have great music and an energetic vibe. If you’re into techno or EDM, Mixx is your best bet, but keep in mind the cover charge can be steep.
For a more relaxed night, try The Pattaya Beer Garden or Hemingways – great for a chilled evening with good food and drinks. But if you're really looking for something a little out of the ordinary, check out Siam@Siam Design Hotel's rooftop bar – the cocktails are top-notch, and you get a great view of the city. It’s a nice spot for starting the night before heading to the more intense spots.
A few things to keep in mind: First, always check the cover charge before entering clubs – some spots charge 300-500 baht just to get in, but it usually includes a drink. Second, make sure you're carrying small change for tips, as it's expected in most places. And third, some clubs have minimum drink orders, so be aware of that.
Lastly, if you’re planning to go all night, make sure you have a ride back to your hotel sorted. Pattaya’s nightlife doesn’t stop until the early hours, so having a Grab or taxi arranged ahead of time can save you a lot of hassle. And always drink responsibly – it’s easy to get caught up in the party atmosphere.
