I've just returned from another fantastic trip to Bangkok with a few friends. Over the years, I've mostly engaged with freelancers (FLs) rather than bar girls (BGs), and I've noticed some recurring patterns in how they operate. For a bit of fun, I’m imagining what a "training school" for BGs and FLs might teach. Feel free to add any other tips or strategies you’ve come across!
1. Smile at Every Farang
Always greet any foreigner (farang) with a friendly smile. You never know how affluent they might be, and a warm smile can often open doors to potential opportunities.
2. Assess the Hotel's Status
Observe which hotel the farang is staying at. This can give you clues about his financial status and help determine your pricing for short time (ST) or long time (LT) engagements.
3. Use the Hospital Excuse
If you’re on an LT arrangement but want to leave early, have a friend call you with an urgent message about a relative being rushed to the hospital. This excuse can provide a quick and believable way to exit.
4. Order Excessively at Restaurants
When dining out, always order more food than necessary. This can subtly encourage the farang to spend more and creates the impression that you’re enjoying the meal.
5. Request New Clothes
Ask the farang to buy you new clothes under the pretense that you need something new to look good for him. This tactic helps you get gifts while avoiding the hassle of going home to change.
6. Promise Exclusive Commitment
Tell the farang he is the only one and that you’ll stop working if he sends you money. This creates a sense of exclusivity and can persuade him to offer more financial support.
7. Manage Incoming Calls Discreetly
Try to answer calls from other farang sponsors only when the current client is not around. This prevents jealousy or suspicion and helps maintain a smoother interaction.
8. Flattery and Compliments
Regularly compliment the farang on his appearance or wealth. This not only makes him feel special but can also increase his willingness to spend money.
9. Create Emotional Bonds
Engage in conversations that make the farang feel emotionally connected. Sharing personal stories or showing concern for his well-being can make him more invested in you.
10. Perfect the Art of Flirtation
Master the art of flirtation, both in person and through messages. This can create a stronger emotional attachment and encourage the farang to spend more on you.
11. Offer “Special” Services
Subtly imply that you offer exclusive or unique services that are not available from others. This can make you appear more valuable and encourage higher spending.
12. Learn the Art of Timing
Perfect the timing of your requests and suggestions. Asking for things at the right moment, such as when the farang is in a good mood or has had a good experience, can increase your chances of getting what you want.
13. Be Attentive and Engaging
Always be attentive and engage actively in conversations. Showing genuine interest in the farang’s life and interests can make him feel valued and more willing to spend money.
14. Avoid Discussing Financial Issues Directly
Refrain from discussing money directly or making it the main topic of conversation. Instead, subtly incorporate financial requests into the context of enjoyable activities.
15. Maintain an Air of Mystery
Keep a bit of mystery about your personal life and background. This can intrigue the farang and make him more interested in spending time with you to learn more.
These insights are meant to be lighthearted and offer a glimpse into the playful and sometimes strategic side of interactions in the nightlife scene. If you have any additional tips or experiences to share, feel free to add them!
