Last night, after enjoying a hearty Mongolian hot pot meal, I decided to explore the A-Go-Go bars. The selection of venues is vast, with some being heavily advertised. However, my initial foray led me to a bar with an empty room, save for a few unattended poles. It seems the poles themselves longed for attention, but the scene was so lackluster that I couldn’t bring myself to stay. Disappointed, I moved on, my thoughts lingering on the neglected poles and the overall emptiness.
Determined to find a better experience, I ventured into another A-Go-Go bar—Baccara. As I entered this den of iniquity, I was immediately overwhelmed by the sight of naked women on stage. They were fully engaged with the poles, climbing, sliding, and even occasionally wiping them down. The poles, at least, were receiving the care they deserved.
My attention then shifted to the upper level, where a glass floor revealed even more debauchery reminiscent of Sodom and Gomorrah. The spectacle of exposed flesh and lascivious behavior was astonishing. Amidst this chaos, I struck up a conversation with a Japanese man who was also captivated by the scene. As we chatted, small balls were tossed into the ring—200 balls for 4000 THB—with the option to bribe staff for additional denominations.
In the midst of our conversation, the atmosphere shifted dramatically. The girls began screaming as a man appeared on stage, flinging 20 THB notes into the air. The total amount seemed to be around 2000 THB. This sudden influx of cash ignited a frenzy among the dancers, who scrambled to collect the bills amidst laughter and playful tussles.
After the excitement died down and the stage was cleared, the girls resumed their pole performances, restoring a semblance of order. Despite the blatant immorality and reprehensibility of Baccara, the experience was undeniably thrilling.
