Hey everyone, I apologize if this topic has already been covered, but I couldn't find any recent discussions about it.
If you're out on Walking Street in the evening and happen to visit Insomnia Club, be vigilant when you leave, especially around closing time. There’s a group of 4-6 individuals, including both ladies and ladyboys, who target people who appear to be a bit tipsy. They have a tactic of suddenly latching onto you, with one of them attempting to steal your wallet.
Yesterday, I had a close encounter with them. Despite having had a few drinks, I managed to outmaneuver the thief, resulting in a lucky escape for me but a failed attempt for her.
This wasn't my first brush with these opportunistic thieves. I witnessed a similar attempt three months ago and was more prepared this time around. The method is always the same: they identify vulnerable targets, often those who are slightly inebriated and less aware of their surroundings, and then they strike.
To avoid falling victim to such schemes, here are a few tips:
- Keep your valuables secure and in a hard-to-reach place.
- Stay aware of your surroundings, especially when leaving a club.
- If someone suddenly gets too close or acts suspiciously, stay alert and move away quickly.
- Travel in groups if possible, as it can deter potential thieves.
Stay safe and enjoy your night out, but always be cautious of those around you. Insomnia Club and Walking Street can be fun and vibrant, but it's essential to remain vigilant to avoid unpleasant encounters like this.
