I've read that Kik relationships—those focusing on mutual interests, particularly sex—are fairly common in Thailand.
Is this true? Who are the best girls to target for a Kik relationship? I assume bar girls wouldn't be a good choice since they make a living off paid sex. Perhaps college students?

My best advice would be to forget about it... UNLESS you you are incredibly handsome and speak fluent Thai (or you're thai).



Many working girls have a gik because they are unable to sustain a relationship due to working (most guys won't accept their girlfriend fucking other guys). They tend to have a gik to satisfy their emotional/physical needs and connect with someone. That pretty much means you need to be able to communicate to her on a high level, be very attractive to her, and live in Thailand.



It's popular among students because again the girls want to have fun and satisfy their needs, but have the idea that they don't have time for a boyfriend type relationship.

I think Thai girls are skeptical of farang in general, and generally push for a relationship if they like you. You can get one night stands, for sure... but getting a girl who agrees to have continuous, free sex, on an ongoing basis with no strings attached is gonna be 10x harder for a farang who doesn't speak thai than a thai dude. Most of the thai girls I've been involved with no matter where I've met them have always pushed for a relationship fairly quickly unless it was an arrangement involving money. I recently tried to have a gik, but after our 3rd meeting she started accusing me of having other women, blah blah blah, so she had other ideas... Had to end that quick.



It can happen if you stumble across the right girl, but I wouldn't go searching for it actively. Search for the one night stand, and stumble across the gik is probably the best approach.

The kik thing is very common here and it isn't always totally free. Sometimes paying for dinner or a night out or some "traveling expenses" are expected. The best kiks I've had have usually had farang boyfriends or husbands that only live in Thailand a few weeks or months per year but support the girl financially. The other fun kiks that I've had are many of the girls whose bf or husband is in the Thai military for 2 years. Lots of student or bar girls have bf/husbands in the military. Thais women have amongst the highest percentage of adultery in the world according to a survey that I remember reading last year.

Most of the giks I've had are usually single busy career girls I meet through my job. They're not wanting a relationship, but want to be taken out and dined and happy to have some fun at the end of the night. To Instagram themselves in the bars and restaurants that even a good Thai wage can't afford means a lot.



Too often the girls started wanting something more serious, so I stay away now. Prefer to pay by the hour so there are no strings attached.
