I’m unfamiliar with the traditional model where a daily rate, such as 3,000 THB, is agreed upon for a long-term arrangement, and then at the end of the agreed period, a total sum, like 30,000 THB, is handed over. My understanding is that there are other ways to handle payments in these arrangements.
For example, some people prefer to make a final payment of an amount they choose at the end of the period, rather than sticking strictly to the agreed rate. Alternatively, instead of a cash payment, one might offer a gift, such as a piece of jewelry or another token of appreciation. This approach can add a personal touch and acknowledge the time spent together.
What are your thoughts on this method? Have you ever used or considered using this approach? How did it work out for you or others you know? I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions on handling long-term arrangements in this more flexible manner.
